Phono Stage
H-3000 LCR Phono Stage
Orthodox LCR phono stage all-transformer coupled. Extra-ordinary RIAA phono equalizer thoroughly coupled by transformers. All transformers should have not only perfectly flat frequency range(20Hz ~ 20kHz) but also very low winding resistance to reduce the power loss in order to obtain good RIAA curve (especially for low frequency) Allnic's sophisticated technology in designing and manufacturing of transformer could make through with this phono stage.

LCR TYPE RIAA EQUALIZATION
RIAA Equalization is specification for the correct playback of vinyl records, established by the Recording Industry Association of America. The purpose of the equalization is to permit longer playback times, and improve sound quality.
RIAA equalization is a form of pre-emphasis (in the recording process) and de-emphasis on playback.
A record is cut with low frequencies reduced ( to conserve groove width and allow greater the surface noise also). The result is a flat frequency response. There are four types of de- emphasis method on playback.

Preamplifiers
L-4000 Line Preamplifier
Single gain stage circuit uses only 'one' tube in amplification, which reproduces purer, more detailed, more spacious and more dynamic sound than multi gain stages, just like through one window glass we can see outside scene more clearly than through several window panes.
Line output transformer coupling: In tube amp circuitry, there are two coupling methods, one, capacitor coupling the other transformer one. The former, traditional, low cost and somewhat stable transfers only voltage not wattage (not real energy), the latter conveys about 90%(transformer loss about10%) of real wattage. No comparison between them for the driving capacity of power amplifier. All the advantages of transformer coupling too simply depend on the quality of transformer and on the choice of tubes. Allnic's unprecedented wide (16Hz ~ 75kHz, -3db), low distortional and ultra-flexible (up to 50kHz square wave response) output transformer realizes this ideal preamplifier. We also chose the right tube (ideal three factors, high gm, low internal resistance and high mu) for this position.
Constant and low output impedance: Low output impedance is prerequisite to a good preamplifier. L-4000 has 150Ω constant output impedance at all frequencies. In C-R coupling "the cathod follower circuit" usually being applied to lower output impedance accompanies high distortion problem and has "L" shaped output impedance curve.

Power Amplifiers
A-6000 Double Para-SE Mono
High power output 50w Pure Class A Double Parallel SE power amplifier. Almost other 300B amplifiers are underdriven or distorted- driven by conventional "Resister-Capacitor" circuit which gives only up to around 70V swing voltage with high distortion. This means prior distorted sound to deep biased 300B grid. Our powerful "Inductor Drive" circuit gives up to 150V swing voltage with very low distortion,(about 0.3%) that's why A-6000 has higher output 50w.
Real power drive. Our choke inductor (100% nickel permalloy PC core) has very low power loss and infinitely high load impedance. The driver tube 6GV8 has strong power pentode, we use this power pentode to drive 300B via choke plate inductor. This is one of the ideal drive stages for 300B SE.
Nickel alloy output transformer. We use a sophisticated ratio mixed nickel permally PB cored output transformers. Due to its extremely high initial permeability, it allows us lower turns of primary winding with still higher 'open circuit inductance', which means very wide frequency range and low distorted bass response. This is another reason why our A-6000 excels other 300B power amplifiers. We also use very big nickel core, not to be magnetically saturated at high current 400mA.
Long life and trouble-free operation. We employ the 'Soft start circuit' to protect tubes and other parts. It applys high B+ voltage only after tubes are fully warmed-up.
Fixed bias control grid. We prefer low distortion and high output 'Fixed Bias' to high distortion and lower output 'Self Bias' method. We can get rid of those hot cathode resisters.
Natural negative feedback. We apply about -6dB, a natural negative feedback to upgrade 300B single ended to main amplifier from hobby D.I.Y or sub system, due to its' colorful and weak speaker driving force. With this natural feedback, we can get high 'Damping Factor', very low distortion, higher S/N ratio without losing single ended natural sound.
Hard wiring. We make A-6000 all hard wired.

AUT-2000 Step-up Transformer
Deeper Bass Sound: Using big size Nickel Permally PC core results higher saturation of input voltage and subsequently reproduce deeper bass sound. Improved High Frequency Response: Employing five sectioned sandwich winding method lessens leakage inductance and capacitance.
Solid and Durable Frame: To damp the mechanical vibration, Allnic AUT-2000 is precisely machined from solid aluminum alloy block and the clearances between transformers and main frame are filled with silicone elastomer having excellent absorbing characteristics.
Using Separate Selector: In order to stop the crosstalk in selectors and connecting wires, Allnic AUT-2000 is equipped with separate gain selectors for each channel.
Emphasized Selectivity in Lower Gains: Selectivity in lower gain was emphasized to deal with ever growing high output MC cartridges in these days.
Flat Signal Responses in a Broad Frequency Range: Allnic AUT-2000 flatly responses in a broad frequency range with secondary load resistor at 47 kOhms as installed for MM cartridges in phono stage circuitry. (We do not manipulate lower resistors to make flatter response curve.) Table 1 shows signal response at each gain level.

Why a step-up transformer is needed?
When you play a vinyl, the sound is picked-up by a phono cartridge and sent to phono EQ amplifier for RIAA processing. Quality phono cartridges are normally in MM(moving magnetic) or MC(moving coil) type. It is known that MC cartridges usually have superior sound than that of MM, but the former produce no more than one tenth output voltage of the latter.
Furthermore, normal phono EQ amplifiers are built for MM cartridges, not for MC, usually with voltage gain between +30dB and +40dB. Therefore, to accommodate normal phono EQ amplifier with low output MC cartridge, using step-up device, such as step-up transformer or head (pre-pre) amplifier, is required.
Gain Selectable Step-up Transformer
Among audiophiles, widely diversified modern MC (moving coil) cartridges are used. Each cartridge deploys different types of cantilever material, diamond tip shape, rubber damper material, output voltage and impedance. And phono stage amplifiers apply different voltage gains depending on models and manufacturers. In order to cope with such complexity of user environment, step-up transformer has to be gain selectable without compromising sound quality. AUT-2000 Step-up Transformer has features of gain selectivity, excellent square wave response over broad frequency range and extremely low noise level.
